— EGA briefings  ·  Established 2001

You have built something worth believing in.
The question is whether your public believes it yet.

Where communication becomes leadership.

EGA briefings works alongside Indonesia’s senior leaders and communication professionals — building the capacity to lead strategic communication from within, not to outsource it.

Why we exist

The world between today and tomorrow is never the same.

Organizations that lead are not the ones that communicate most. They are the ones that communicate strategically — with clarity of purpose, grounded in research, evaluated against outcomes.

Yet across Indonesia’s largest companies, government bodies, and state-owned enterprises, public relations is still practiced as a technical function, not a management one.

EGA briefings was founded in 2001 to address that. Not by doing communication for organizations — but by building their capacity to lead it themselves. We believe the organizations that will shape Indonesia’s future are those who understand, from the boardroom to the front line, what strategic communication actually is.

This is what we have worked on for 25 years. This is what we continue to build.

Elizabeth Goenawan Ananto, Ph.D, FIPRA

Thirty years of one conviction.

Elizabeth Goenawan Ananto has spent three decades working on a single question: what does it take for public relations to function as a genuine management capability — not as a support role, but as the function that shapes how an organization is trusted, understood, and believed.

She is FIPRA Fellow, IPRA President 2010, and has taught for more than fifty years. EGA Briefings is the institution she built to answer that question at scale — not by doing communication for organizations, but by building their capacity to lead it themselves.

Executive Membership

For leaders who want to stay at the front of their field.

Strategic communication is not a skill you learn once. Stakeholder expectations, reputational risks, and the demands placed on senior leadership shift constantly.
EGA briefings Executive Membership gives Indonesia’s C-suite, VPs, and CCOs the access, thinking, and peer exchange to lead through those shifts — consistently.

Redefining Trust: Communication Leadership in a Changing World

Jakarta, 9-10 September 2026

In an environment defined by scrutiny, volatility, and competing narratives — reputation is no longer a communications concern. It is a leadership and governance responsibility.

Our Approach

Communication grounded in research. Measured against outcomes.

Every engagement, every course, every conversation — is grounded in one conviction: good communication is never accidental. It begins with evidence and ends with accountability.

Our framework follows four stages: Research, Planning, Communication, and Evaluation. Within that, we measure real progress through the Seven Steps of Change — because communication that does not shift behavior has not truly landed.

The Bulletin

Twenty-five years of conversation. Now you can listen.

EGA briefings started publishing in 2001. Over two decades, that commitment to sharing strategic thinking took many forms — from the bi-monthly bulletin on yellow paper, to ten years of PR Week Indonesia, to the International PR Summit. In 2020, it returned as audio articles — the most accessible form it has ever taken.

More than 200 audio articles on strategic communication, public relations as a management function, reputation, and leadership. A selection is free to listen with the full library lives at EGA briefings Academy.
